Overthinking

The Mind And The Heart Are Connected Through the Central Nervous System

It can seem really difficult to control our overactive minds, especially if we are feeling over emotional as well. That is because our thoughts and our feelings are connected through our CNS Central Nervous System.

But, the good news is that because the heart and the mind are connected, by calming one we automatically calm the other.

It is well proven, that many people (especially when mentally and emotionally stressed) tend to exhibit overly erratic heartbeat rhythms. And using Heart Coherence Biofeedback graphs, it has been demonstrated that changing from stressful thoughts to peaceful ones encourages the heart to beat more smoothly and less erratically.

So, conversely, because improving the heartbeat rhythm calms the emotions, it automatically calms the mind.

So, if overthinking is the issue, instead of tackling the problem ‘head on’ consider concentrating on improving your heartbeat rhythm instead.
